How to Start and Run a Successful MLM Company. How it Started

Years ago, as I was enjoying the success of a business that I had started from a dream that had become a reality, a man approached me.  He had a look in his eye that was a combination of excited and frantic, and he had something to say to me.  “You know,” he leaned in to tell me a secret, “I had this idea ten years ago.”  And then he paused, waiting for me to acknowledge.  I didn’t really know what to say, as I was unsure what his point was going to be.  So, I politely replied, “Isn’t it great to see that idea in action?”  He smiled, then winked, and sort of congratulated me on our success.  Then came a rush of emotions: I felt sad as I realized that he must have regretted not acting on his idea; I felt grateful for the good fortune that had come upon me and my family; and I felt responsible to encourage entrepreneurs and dreamers to act, but to act carefully and with purpose.  This has become a driving force for me.

As you begin your work of preparing to launch your new MLM startup company, I would offer a few tips.

1. 2. Do something everyday to move you closer to your goal of launching the MLM business.  My personal practice is at the end of my day to write out the five most important things to accomplish the next day.
3. Maintain a healthy, positive attitude and see the problems and hurdles as evidence that you are on the right track.  Too often, quitters see the hurdles as reasons or “signs” to not keep going.  It is true that circumstances change, and sometimes a plan has to be aborted; but more often than not, the discouragements are simply affirmations that something good is in store, so “keep digging!”
