Biography: Preston first taste of entrepreneurship came at the age of eight. Maintaining, on bike, a ten-mile paper route for three years. This taste of self-empowerment carried him through his high school and college years. In 1984, at the age of twenty-one, he went to work for Advance Telecommunications Network (ATN), creating and managing the company’s information and data production departments, while overseeing the installation and maintenance of satellite-based kiosks within malls nationwide.At the age of 24, he started his third business with $8,000 from savings, and by his third year had built an annual income of $320,000.00. It was during this time, that he got a taste of Network Marketing (first with Melaleuca and then with AL Williams, where he became an RVP) and he’s been hooked ever since. In 1990, he sold his ownership in his first business and moved back home to Washington State with his family and helped launch International Resource Network, (IRN) a network marketing company that in three months, acquired over 3,000 distributors. He then stared and operated Interactive Communications, Inc. (ICI), and alternative communications company which grew to service customers nationwide. In 1998, Preston launched Xennsoft Corporation, to fill what he referred to at the time as, “an outdated and non-service focused Direct Sales industry”. Preston still owns and operates Xennsoft LLC from Draper UT and says he is both excited and honored to be a part of the Direct Selling Symposium.
